Cult Forced to Grovel and Apologize for Lies and Libels
HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE
QUEEN'S BENCH DIVISION
June 8, 1999: Scientology Apologises to Bonnie Woods
Defendant's Counsel:
On behalf of the Church of Scientology and all the Defendants I wish to
associate myself with all that has been said by counsel for the Plaintiff. The
Defendants regret that when responding to Mrs Woods' criticisms of the Church of
Scientology they went too far in attributing to her conduct and motives which
they now accept were not correct. Through me they apologise to Mrs Woods and
undertake (in the terms of the draft Order before Your Lordship) not to make any
such allegations again.

Scientology Crime Cult "Reverend" Menaces Father
This letter was received by a man in the mid-west whose son took $550 worth of
courses but only paid for $200 of them. The father was then billed for the
balance in a letter saying he had "agreed" to pay the other $350. The father
wrote back saying he hadn't "agreed" to any such thing, and reported the
Scientologists. On October 13, he received the following threats and accusations
from a Scientology Reverend:
"Rather than let my lawyers have *all* the fun, I will write to you this once
and straighten you out. I have a great urge to beggar you to your last pair of
socks, but I will curb the desire a little longer. If you had the wit of a
demented swineherd you would have read those pieces of literature I so
graciously had sent to you...do not judge people by yourself. Not everyone is a
mass murderer like yourself. Yes, I know quite a bit about you and your various
projects during the war. And how do you sleep at night? I hope tis ill...I am
expert at harassment, try me and find out. You are not strong enough. You are
not smart enough. You haven't the funds to go through long lengthy court
battles."

Scientology Crime Cult Coughs up Huge Libel Judgment
Scientologists pay giant libel debt on time
The Toronto Star
Saturday, September 2, 1995
By Wendy Darroch
The Church of Scientology handed over almost $3 million yesterday, before the
noon deadline, to pay off the largest libel award in Canadian history.
Casey Hill, a former crown attorney and now an Ontario Court Judge, won the jury
award in 1992. In upholding the decision, the Ontario Court of Appeal said Hill
was a victim of character assassination.
The award was also upheld by the Supreme Court of Canada.
In 1984, Hill was falsely accused of misleading a judge and of breaching a court
order sealing more than 200 documents seized after a raid on the church by the
police.

Scientology Crime Cult "Doctor" Prosecuted for Homicide
MEDICAL AFFAIR ON SCIENTOLOGY BASES
The practician admits having followed some courses taught by the cult but denies
his membership and contests all the accusations done against him
A Geneve's MD has been incriminated last tuesday for homicide by neglect and
exposition to risk by the Juge d'Instruction Claude Wenger. The judge confirms
this information and does not want to comment it.
This incrimination comes from a complaint deposed by the two daughters of a
patient dead of cancer on Déc 17, 1995. The GFPI, the Group for the Protection
of Family and Individual, managed by François Lavergnat had further denounced
the facts to the General Prosecutor who therefore opened a criminal inquiry.

Judges Agree: L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology are "schizophrenic and paranoid"
"[The court record is] replete with evidence [that Scientology] is nothing in
reality but a vast enterprise to extract the maximum amount of money from its
adepts by pseudo scientific theories... and to exercise a kind of blackmail
against persons who do not wish to continue with their sect.... The organization
clearly is schizophrenic and paranoid, and this bizarre combination seems to be
a reflection of its founder, L.Ron Hubbard."

Hotel of Horrors
For some Scientologists, pilgrimage has been fatal
©St. Petersburg Times, December 7, 1997
By LUCY MORGAN
CLEARWATER -- From around the world, they come to Clearwater, looking for
answers.
Week after week, they are drawn to the Church of Scientology, seeking to improve
or rebuild their lives.
But for a few of these pilgrims, the search has ended in death.
Since 1980, at least eight members of the Church of Scientology have died in
Clearwater under circumstances that leave their friends, families and in some
cases law enforcement authorities looking for their own answers.

Scientology: Rev Up Those Shredders Again, Cultists
From: The Courtroom Files
"In January 1980, fearing a raid by law enforcement agencies, Hubbard's
representatives ordered the shredding of all documents showing that Hubbard
controlled Scientology organizations, finances, personnel, or the property at
Gilman Hot Springs. In a two week period, approximately one million pages were
shredded pursuant to this order."

Another Proud Scientologist: CHARLES MANSON
The Scientology Connection:
Scientology played an important part in the lives of Charles Manson and
Bruce Davis.
There is documented evidence regarding the teachings of Scientology
to Manson even while he was incarcerated during the 1950's. It is reported
Charles Manson reached the level "Clear" and was rather astute in his adaptation
of control and manipulation techniques when dealing with other people. Manson
used Scientology to answer questions with Diane Sawyer during the ABC television
broadcast. Manson often expressed the concept of living in the "Now" and that
term was used to describe the murder of Shorty Shea, when the killers said "It
was hard to bring Shorty to Now".
Bruce Davis was an emissary for Manson when he traveled to England to work out
problems between The Process and Scientology. Davis denied to the BBC reporter
Bill Murphy that he ever traveled to Manchester England, despite the fact
witnesses saw him there. Murphy had an acquaintance who actually witnessed Bruce
Davis traveling around Manchester with a coven of witches.
Murder victims Doreen Gaul and James Sharp were deeply involved in the Church of
Scientology and it was documented James Sharp conducted instruction to Doreen
Gaul the night of her murder.

Disgusting Scientology Morons Let Kid Die "Protected by Postulate"
AFFIDAVIT of:
YOLANDA HOWELL
August 30, 1989
Dear Margery,
I read of your plight in the Free Spirit. I, too have a Scientology horror story
to relate. I, also, would seek some sort of recompense (if it were possible to
replace the lost lives, dreams, relationships, income potential, etc.) but have
not known where to turn as I was told my "statute of limitations" was up. I was
in such a state of shock I couldn't even talk about it for the period of the
statute of limitations!
In a nutshell, as I believe you need these statements to be brief, I will relate
my tale as follows:
1. In May of 1973, at 21 years of age, I joined the Church of Scientology,
Mission of Salt Lake City, Utah.
2. In November 1973, after unsatisfactory (and very strange) "marriage
counseling," I divorced my husband of five years. I had three children, aged 4,
2, and 9 months. We sold our two-year-old house and all of our possessions and
my ex took all of the money so he could get "audited."

abandoned the base, the Clearwater Sun has learned.

U.S. 19, are being held by Dunedin police. State and federal
authorities are investigating.

Scientology Crime Cult Can't Sue for Being Exposed as "Cult of Greed"
Judge rules Time can't be sued for calling Scientology "cult of greed"
CNN, July 17, 1996
NEW YORK (CNN) -- A federal judge has thrown out the remaining part of a $415
million lawsuit brought by the Church of Scientology against Time Warner Inc.
The suit charged that Time magazine maliciously libeled the church in a 1992
article that called it a "cult of greed."
Most of the case was thrown out last year. The judge conducted a hearing to
decide if the last piece of the lawsuit should go as well.
The article was unusually tough and opinionated, even according to Time's own
lawyer. It charged Scientology was a "ruthless global scam" posing as a
religion. It said it was not a religion but an organization obsessed with making
money.
Scientology was founded 41 years ago by science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard.
It requires initiates to undergo teaching and counseling that can cost thousands
of dollars.

Crime Boss Miscavige:
Bizarre Buggery Outburst
Deposition of David Miscavige
by Keith Henson and Grady Ward, May 21, 1997
at Palm Springs, California.
(*) = David Miscavige, head of the Church of Scientology
GW = Grady Ward, deposing David Miscavige under oath
"(*): Wait a second, I'd like to note for the record that Mr. Ward here, said he
was doing TR 1.1. And I would just like that noted here. That is probably not
understandable to someone who is not a Scientologist, but it is definitely an
attempt to demean the religion[sic] of Scientology and I'd like that noted for
the record. This TR 1.1 refers to a writing by Graham Berry, where he states
that he will start up a 1.1 Club, including, qualifications for this for non
homosexuals, is that there will be a public buggering of the leaders of
Scientology. Buggering of course I think you know that it refers to sodomy and
that is I understand what the 1.1 Club is. I think that's what Mr. Ward was
stating that in reference to. I'd also like to state for the record. I believe
I've taken about a minute to state that and I'm willing to give them an extra
minute so that it doesn't come off their time.

Elvis on Scientology:
FUCK THOSE PEOPLE!
"One day, in L.A., we got in the limousine and went down to the Scientology
center on Sunset, and Elvis went in and talked to them. We waited in the car,
but apparently they started doing all these charts and crap for him. Elvis came
out and said 'Fuck those people! There's no way I'll ever get involved with that
son-of-a-bitchin' group. All they want is my money.' Well, Peggy still kept on
about it, so Elvis didn't date her any more. And he stayed away from Scientology
like it was a cobra. He'd shit a brick to see how far Lisa Marie's gotten into
it."

Insane Scientology Crime Cult Thug Shoots at Journalists
Cult's private detective fires at journalists
The Sunday Times, 8 November 1987
by Richard Palmer
A PRIVATE detective, employed by representatives of the Church of Scientology
cult to investigate one of its opponents, shot at a Sunday Times reporter and
photographer and threatened to kill them last week.
The detective, Jarl Grieve Einar Cynewulf, fired a pistol at the journalists
after saying. "You'd better go now unless you want to end up in a wooden box. Do
you want to be another Hungerford martyr?"
Although the gun was fired from close range, the journalists escaped unharmed
after a chase through the streets near Cynewulf's home in Oldland Common,
Bristol, on Thursday night.
Earlier, the private detective had said that the Church of Scientology had paid
him $2,500 to smear the author of a critical new book on the late L. Ron
Hubbard. Cynewulf said he had been told he could name his price if he could
produce evidence that Russell Miller, the author, was an agent of the CIA.

Justice Latey on the Scientology Crime Cult: Corrupt, Sinister and Dangerous

problems he was willing to risk becoming a target of "freeloader debt" and "fair

Wollersheim's case, "fair game" was a practice of retribution Scientology
threatened to inflict on "suppressives," which included people who left the
organization or anyone who could pose a threat to the [212 Cal.App.3d 880]
organization. Once someone was identified as a "suppressive," all Scientologists
were authorized to do anything to "neutralize" that individual -- economically,
politically, and psychologically.

The Death of Susan Meister
From: A PIECE OF BLUE SKY
Scientology, Dianetics and L. Ron Hubbard Exposed
by Jon Atack
Susan Meister was introduced to Scientology in San Francisco
in the autumn of 1970. By November, she was working at the San
Francisco Org. She was an eager convert, and tried to persuade
her parents to become Scientologists. She wanted to be close
to the "Founder," and contribute to "Clearing the Planet," so
in February 1971 she joined the Sea Org. By the end of the month
she was aboard the "Flagship" Apollo. Her stay there was brief
and tragic. On May 8, she wrote to her mother:
Mother,
Do you recall talking to me about WW Ill--and where it would
start if it were to start--father and most everyone else maintained
that it would start in either China or Russia vs. U.S. and you
said--oh no-~it would originate in Germany--that the Nazis hadn't
given up yet--? Well babe, you were right--there is a new Nazi
resurgence taking place in Germany--so now it's a race between
the good guys in the white hats (Scientologists) [sic] and the
Leipzig death camp (Nazis) [sicl the bad guys in the black hats--we'll
win of course--but the game is exciting. Truth is stranger than
fiction. As Alice [in Wonderland] says "Things get curiouser
and curiouser!" Get into Scientology now. lt's fantastic.
Love, Susan
