1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
N/A

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
Improving my life and relationships with friends and family.

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
see above.

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
Yes. The first thing I noticed was how much attention was focused on MONEY. When I went to the big blue building for the first time and saw young children in the Sea Org and out of school really bothered me. I didn't like being HOUNDED and HUNTED down after events to buy things.

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
Being brainwashed into thinking I was making positive changes in my life and that Scn. was somehow helpful.

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
Public... they tried to get me to join staff as a 'letter reg' but I blew from that position when it became clear that I would be spending all my free time there and not with my son.

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
It wasn't really a final straw deal with me. I just blew because I moved away and opened my eyes. It only took me being away from everyone and everything Scn. to see the truth.

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
I think the C of S should be shut down. Until that happens, they should stop enslaving people in the Sea Org and in staff positions. They should pay at least minimum wage to the people who dedicate their time to what they believe to be a worthy cause. They should give Sea Org members and staff a decent insurance plan. They should stop allowing MINORS to quit school and join the S.O.

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
NO WAY, NO HOW!

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
No, thank you.
