1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
Attended a free lecture

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
The data about myself, others, and Life rang true for me-it answered questions I'd had since a child, and gave me hope that Life could become a fun adventure.

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
As a young adult, and citizen of Earth, of course I had the usual uncertainties and desires as I saw my future stretch out before me...but, no recent losses, or drug or health problems

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
Many things here...too many to list. I observed a gradual errosion over the years which has at present time become an outright insanity that I finally feel helpless to do anything about, as an individual. I am DONE with it.

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
Because ofthe actual gains, improvement of my life conditions and the conditions of others, and increased awareness of myself as a spiritual being which were acquired through the use of the LRH data, materials, auditing, and training that I did receive in my early years. Many of these things still serve myself, and others, today.

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
I was all of these things, except Sea Org-although there were several attempts to recruit me, as I did 'qualify' per actual Sea Org standards in the past. By the way, qualifications sure seem to have changed over the years........

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
Iam actually still considered in 'good standing' at this point, and get all the mail and invitations to events, etc. However,I am on an official leave of absence, and have no intention of putting any more of myself into the current operation, and will not be going back. I finally popped my head up out of the sand during my last stint on staff. The entire experience was a 'last straw.' It seemed that the more degraded, malicious, criminal and selfish that individuals were, the more they got rewarded and acknowledged and appointed to executive positions, and all the other 'perks' that go along with being a good little SCN robot these days.

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
In spite of the confusions, and complaints, and criticisms of LRH, I feel fortunate to have been exposed to gains that can truly be had by the study and application of the technology that he originally discovered and took such pains, and time, to put into workable form. There are many many good things that I got from my experiences as a Scientologist, which are a great part in who I am today-they are so sure and certain that they simply cannot be uncreated or undone, and, believe me, there have been many attempts, directly and indirectly, to do just that. I believe that 'The Aims of Scientology' are achievable, and that strict adherance to 'Keeping Scientology Working' could have possibly helped to accomplish that, but it has now become such a twisted travesty within the CofS that these two things alone now seem a forgotten dream, or dim memory-to say nothing of all of the other perversions that have taken place. What changed about my life is that I finally had to realize that I was kicking a dead horse when I could have had an easier, and more joyful, life for myself and my children for those years. I could've truly lived up to my full potential and set an example for my children to do the same.

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
If things went back to the way they were when I first got involved-the FUN, the true enhanced awareness and LIFE ABILITIES, the security and genuine ARC, and the downright MAGIC of it all, I would not hesitate for a second to become a part of THAT group again.

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
I just hope that my comments are able to assist ANY other person who has had their hopes and dreams dashed, and had their own goodness and honest intentions used to support a ruthless and unscrupulous bunch of PUKES. The very truth, and workability, that exists there (though the doses are getting smaller all the time...) causes people to hang in there, keep at it, engage in denial, be reasonable, and continue to justify why they should stay. It is only a matter of time before you finally decide that you have had ENOUGH-like I did. And, it is only a matter of time before the Truth of all of this becomes Broad Public Issue. Like LRH, and other wise men down through the ages have said.'The Truth, alone, shall set you free.'
