1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
I walked in wondering what it was all about, did a personality test and started a course that same day

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
Seemed to improve my happiness and well being, especially the way I viewed myself.

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
I think I was looking for something bigger than myself. Not one who was ever interested in religion, I thought this may be different.

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
The constant squeezing of people for ever last cent they have, the children on staff- some almost illiterate as teenagers. I often ignored my desire to speak up, to a point, when I started to question things I didn't agree with it was often met with contempt and justification given. The majority of staff were living below he poverty line, not many owned anything even a car. There was bias towards the PES, she was always berated for being late or taking time off to spend time with her son, other staff would get concessions with out complaint. The PES kept the org functioning and was the terminal for me when I first started. She did not resign her contract and had left staff, this was kept quiet from me until after the fact, at questioning I was told she was letting us all down and the D/ED mentioned she had a ARC break with the PES and didnt think she wanted to have anything else to do with her. When I Spoke my opinion to the ED about my thoughts she had not been treated well, it was met with aggressive discontent.

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
I felt like I could really make a difference and change the org, to run as per claims it did.

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
Staff, Perth Foundation.

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
An ongoing scence of not doing enough to correct the outness'. Once my CSW was started to go to flag, the amount of bickering and mind changing made me question, then realise the incompetence of the staff, from the org and the ao. Then arriving at the berthing for the ao made me really know this was a serious outness, even in regard to their own policies and tech. To some extent I always sat in reservation, with a scence something was off. Perhaps that is why I only stuck around for 10 months.

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
Stop everything that started when they became the church of scientology. Just deliver the tech, at a reasonable price, purely to cover costs. If this was truly what it is claimed to be, no money need be paid for such an apparent noble cause.

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
I would never step foot back inside an org or church of scio. I did have considerations toward the usefulness of the tech, further study may make me want to utilise this tech.

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
Thankyou for giving us a voice.
