1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
I was looking at a Window Display with a Waterfall on it and trying to figure out what it was about. I was just killing time until the local bike shop opened. I needed a new lock for my bike. Every store on State Street opens up at 10:00 but the Bike Store didn't open until 11:00. Wanda came out and asked me if I wanted to take a personality test. I had an hour to kill so I did it. Then she asked if I wanted to do a free session to see what auditing was about and I said sure. I learned sooooo much that first session about myself and others around me that I couldn't figure out before so I signed up for more auditing. The more I did auditing the happier I got and the better my life got in all avenues. I now live right here on the Beach in Hawaii and I have everything. I can honestly say it is all because of the auditing. I just kept getting happier and happier and my life just kept getting better and better!

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
What initially appealed to me was that first session I had. That session was incredible. I learned all kinds of things about myself and others around me. I loved it. After that I signed up for a block of auditing. Twelve and a half hours for $200.00 and it was worth every penny. I felt way better, got the perfect job for me, and learned all kinds of wonderful things. I still love auditing. It has changed my life for the better. The more I did it the happier and freer I got. I now live right here in Hawaii on the beach and I have it all. It's Wonderful. I feel very lucky that I found auditing and that they offered it to. It has totally changed my life. People say it costs a lot but it really just averages out to $16.00 an hour. You can take the class for $35.00 and then do it on each other. They don't care and that is FREE.

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
I honestly didn't know anything about Scientology before I started. I had read in People magazine that Tom Cruise and John Travolta had done it and some others but I had no idea what it was about. I also had lived in Santa Barbara for 16 years and never thought anything about it. It is right there on State Street by the wharf and I went by it all of the time. It is also right where the Farmer's Market is every week. No telling how many times I walked, drove, or biked right by it.

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
I have not set aside my feelings. In fact, since I have done the auditing I say my feelings more than ever and express myself clearly wherever I go. Before I allowed people to hurt me all of the time and I had a lot of hurts that had built up. As I did the auditing I just let those hurts go more and more and more and more and now I am a really clear and happy person. People (not Scientology) people had done things to hurt me or use me or whatever and it doesn't even bother me at all any more. I know they did it and I don't care to be around them any more because I am not into abuse or selfishness. The objective of Auditing is to help people to get over their past hurts "pain pictures" and be free and happy and then to help others to be happy also and for the world to live a way better life. This is called going clear where you are not hurt or hampered by past painful memories.

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
Years ago I met this one older gentlemen that was just darling. He kept saying that he had had a Wonderful Life and I remembered thinking that I would love to be able to say that. I now say it all of the time. The past just does not bother me at all any more and I truly am living an ultra incredible life. This man had worked directly with Ron when Ron was going all over the world and helping to start more areas where people could get auditing and be happier.

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
I have volunteered and I have auditing a tremendous amount of people. It is fun to help others to be happier and to watch their lives get better and the people around them.

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
I still love Scientology but there is no formal organization here on the Big Island.

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
I love Scientology and the way that it is. I think that there might be people in Scientology that are not good like in other churches. Hopefully by doing the auditing they will get themselves healed. I personally have helped many people get off of drugs and to stop drinking soooo much and many other bad behaviors but I have seen that it is hard for many of these people to face how they are living and how they have hurt others. Most people that have hurt or harmed others don't like to look at it so they just say Scientology is bad and don't go back. Those few that do face these faults and go beyond where they are are truly admirable and change there lives completely. It's fun to help people live their dream lives.

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
n/a

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
I think that it is sad that you or anyone else has had a bad experience with Scientology. It has totally changed my life completely for the better. I truly do have it all right now and I wish that for everyone.
