1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
Friend

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
Lovely group of people Interesting philosophies

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
Not really Wanted to explore new ideas
And I was in love!

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
Began to find many contradictions with the PR and the reality, even the tech and the reality.
Some of the basic stuff worked when people applied it well
Comm Course, study tech, basic concepts like ARC, Dynamics, MEST
In the beginning I felt I'd learned lots and was special.
Then I began to notice the lovely people I'd joined with were doing badly and so was I.
We were broke, overworked, suspicous of each other, unhappy, disconnected from old friends and family, relationships were falling apart.
I had become someone who didn't question what I did and I had nothing in my life but Scio.
Then the takeover came and any disgreements were met with totalitarian, impossibly illogical treatment.
Then it got cruel. The crazy crazy RFP. You all know the awful things that went on in those days with the SO (and it still does).
Too painful to detail. Too embarrassing to think I let it happen to me and lived like that.
I wanted to leave but couldn't even tell my partner in marriage.
Now I was paranoid and really afraid too!
I observed an Introspection RD send someone nuts.
It got crazy all around me with Hubbard worship and Church stuff and Mad Missions but by now my head was in the sand and I found a way out quietly.
I wanted to scream GUYS,THIS IS SO NOT RIGHT!!

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
I really hoped it would do what was promised.
Disconnection was so painful, I tried to salvage some contact with family and friends

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
Staff at an org

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
The final straw was the shocking treatment of people on the RPF

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
There is no church. The whole sorry thing needs to shut it's doors, sell up and give the poor staff and suffering public the proceeds (But nothing for Int)

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
Absolutely not

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
I miss my family
I miss my friends
But I am so happy to embrace my freedom
