Name or Alias: Sun_Rise_Revolt
Training and/or processing level: I don't really want to give a lot of information that could be later used against me, but I'll try to give information that others might find useful so they don't aste ther time doing the training I did.
Org or location: I don't feel comfortable giving that information. Anyway, all orgs are basically the same -some are just worse than others.
Time involved in the Church of Scientology: It wasn't more that a few years, thank God, but ever since I've left I have been much more aware of present time, my surroundings, emotions, etc. I reccommend FACTnet.org, lermanet.com, youtube is great!

1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
Personality Test, a the real hook was Dianetics -interestingly enough, Dianetics was actually pretty much copyrighted from William Sargant's Battle For The Mind, Hubbard got a hold of Sargant's writings while at a hospital for soldiers in Norfolk, VA and rewrote his own version, left out the info about brainwashing, and used it to make his own book BRAINWASHING

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
I sound like such a jerk, but I like the whoe malitia-elite thing, but also I just thought it was really good people trying to hep others -NO, It is NOT

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
it was SUPPOSED to make me healthier and all-the-rest -when I was involved I got several stress-induced colds ironically

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
well, we would have these insainy-psychotic convesations about 'hammering out/ busting the psyches' in such a casual manner, and there were all the anti-sematic jokes other scienos would laugh about and it wasn't right, guilt was strongy induced -everything was a 'distraction' from the bridge, even music, if listened to 'too much'

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
I was so set on it initialy, so I waited until it became known that there was just nothing good in it, anything good in it is attainable in other societies

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
public and volunteer staff, planning to join SO! AAAH!

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
there were so many... EVERTHING, they speak out against drugs and give members drugs wihout them knowing, it is entirely corrupt

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
it should not exist

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
never

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
Scientology is a definite threat to scoiety and people need to understand this. I do not think its slow expansion is due to Hubbard being not capable of giving it fast expansion. It is deliberately rising up slowly so that it will go largely unnoticed -so let's stop it before it's too late! >:D
