1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
personality test

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
'cutting edge' movement, charter-committee hierachy system was appealing, under the impression it would make live fuller for me, 'glitz-n-glam' image, singer Beck being 2nd gen., personal dislike of chldren being over-drugged, I've always been open to trying new things

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
give me more energy, make me happier, end my phobias, give me a Utopia-like environment of friends with simila beliefs, improve my memory and ambition

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
encouragement to spend less time with friends and family, paranoia and nightmares, COS members seemed to be lacking personality and lacking interest in anything other that Scientology, authorities seemed all too eager to get me up the bridge: 'qiuckly, quickly' mentality, hard to ever get a break from contact with authorities, members showed no human decency and no morals when regarding psychologists and SPs, there was lying and stealing, hard to afford so I had to take it real slow due to financial reasons and people only seemed interested in me at times when I had more money, was told 'We' cannot relate to non-scienos because they 'no longer make sense'

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
'ecstacy by defult': got a steep high off of depriving myself of certian values and thoughts and actions, nostalgia for the COS fashions and riches, wanted so bad what I had thought it was, tried leaving and was treated very poorly and even laughed at! by people who were supposed to 'help' with leaving, convinced myself that Scientology was ever improving and that it was only acting erratically at times because it has to deffend itself against persecution and because of Hubbard saying that all new things require destruction before they are made good and that 'there is good an bad in everything', played the minority card, some non-scienos were saying great things about members and Scn's hierachy political system, Scn mixes good points with strange things to confuse

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
public and volunteer 'helping out' via front group participation

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
I wasn't improving as a person, I was only becomming very narrow-minded, I was tired of it f***ing wih my life for so long, I realized it was all that was ever on my mind, it went from 'how can Scn help my life' to 'how can my life help Scn', so many people I used to know and musicians and commedians I used to like we dissing Scn and I was tired of dissconnecting, my growing disinterest and disinolvement with my family saddened me
Final Straws:
1- I realized that the Scientologists I was dealing with only really care Ron, not 'friends', not even themselves
2- in the Code of Honor Hubbard says: 'Don't desire to be
liked or admired' sad, and he's called The Admiral!
3- had cultish dreams like: in one I was lying in the sand and reaching up and holding LRH's hand and he was siting high in a chair and I reached up and kissed his hand and repeated this 5 times saying thing like 'you are everything'
4- at a gathering I saw higher-up-the-bridge members like a lot of OTs and that showed no personality, life drive, purpose, love, ambition; and they memtioned L. Ron Hubbard countless time when we were just supposed to be enjoying each others company and having fun (it wasn't fun), had to change so many personal views on right and wrong
5- The used of 'us versus psychiatry' to right every wrong
6- While other Churches wanted to help those at VT, Scn only wanted to recrute new members -sickening, Scientology is all they care about
7- I SAW A PICTURE ONLINE OF A GUY WHO HAD DIED IN A BATHTUB IN FT. HARRISON HOTEL DROWING IN BOIING HOT WATER THAT EATEN AWAY HIS SKIN! ...didn't really want to end up like that
8- Scientology is a (not very successful) attempt at a Fourth Reich

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
Only if the Church removed all it's useless practices and became solely a political sociatal-reform movement and stopped trying to take over the world would I be interested in re-joining.

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
Yes, because then it would not be just a bunch of pricks pretending that they are really living life.

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
I believe that good prevails over evil and that good people trapped in Scientology will get what they deserve in the end. They have a beauty and intuiton that the corruppt do not have.

'...I know My own and My own know me' -John 10:14
