1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
My best friend told me about the comm course, it sounded like a hoot.

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
From day one, everything made sense. I loved the fact that it wasn't true for me unless I'd experienced it myself. I loved the power of choice. I wasn't going to have to 'just believe' anything, I could find out for SURE. This was important to me, highest importance.

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
I was young, but fed up already with not getting any answers to my questions, 'what is the point of existence? why are we here? what does life mean?'

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
Along the way, the only stumblings have been the fact that the group is made up of people. The tech works every single time. I have found this to be true for myself. I absolutely LOVE it. Every time I read a passage, listen to a lecture, it all makes sense and works. I'm always keyed out by the tech.

The troubles I've seen and experienced all could have been handled if everyone was OT 8 and Class 8. But then, that's impossible isn't it? So... we have staffs and so forth who are working their way up..and things don't go smoothly at times.

The thing is...I KNOW the tech works. So when there were 'troubles' I knew I had to persist..this too would pass, and right would come about. I also knew it was my own responsibity to see it through, for my own sake, as well as for others.

So I've got a new senior who's had less training and auditing than me. He has false data and he's tired and frustrated and he's venting some weird shit on me. Well, that's not Scientology. That's not LRH. That's just his crap. That's his CASE. I don't like it, don't agree..but that's what's happening.

I can motivate and point fingers and be the victim, but where will that get me? So my responsibility is to persist and make things right.

I worked in all kinds of groups within Scientology and I've noticed that to the degree the staff get training and auditing, things improve. The staff get along better, weird personal crap falls away, and it's more and more the way 'it seems it should be'.

So if you've had any troubles..realize..they're just people..and they need auditing and training.

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
It's so damn cool. Oh MY GOD. I adored my OT levels. They're everything and more. In my youth I thought maybe someday 'I could fly'. Ha ha. It's so different than that. It's.. a wonderful sense of self and happiness and certainty. It's calm and theta..and having HUGE affinity and understanding for the plight of mankind.

I laugh.. when I was done with OT IV I gave an AO Event In-Charge a turn..she's not OT, and didn't understand.. I was going to be giving my wins..and I told her how my ARC for the world was forever changed, and how I had this huge compassion for mankind..and how I was pulling IN all kinds of comm from everywhere.. I'd even had bums on the street wave and smile at me. She didn't want me to say that..she didn't want me to give others the impression that 'when you go OT you pull in bums'.
Oh sweetie.. She wasn't OT..so this could be important to her. She didn't understand..that it wasn't important..that the bum is just in the same soup as the rest of us..and he's a lovely little theta bubble who just needs some help! Underneath it all, they're just a thetan trying to survive.

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
Staff at an Org, in Applied Scholastics, worked for a 'WISE' academy, and a few other groups! Also have volunteered in-between times.

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
Never left. Never will. The tech works, period. It's my responsibility to make sure KSW is applied.

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
If it doesn't seem right, it's probably not. Get the reference and get it applied. Persist - through EVERYTHING. I did 'the 80's' I know how things went awry here and there - but that wasn't LRH, that was People. Some of them made it through, some quit and became crybabies. I'm sorry for them, really. The loss of the bridge would be devastating. I have great compassion for that plight. I'd help if I could.
Personally? If went off the rails and then came to my senses? I'd do 20 years of an amends project just to get one more OT V session. (I comped the level 5 years ago, excuse me, I'm still on a win. Gonna start OT VII next year) (insert 'yippee' here)

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
Not applicable!

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
I think the main stumbling block folks posting have run into is their own 'not enough push through and carry through'. If you knew the tech worked, why didn't you push through? Why let some untrained and unaudited person - or someone who's just 'off the rails', supply YOU with a motivator big enough to slice off your bridge? You KNOW what's right and wrong.

No one
ever
will stop me from my bridge.
