1. How did you first become acquainted with the Church of Scientology?
I trained at a WISE consulting group. I worked for a dentist who used 'the tech' but claimed not to be a scientologist. All of the procedures, language and hard sell WERE scientology-he was too indoctrinated and deluded to see that. The only scientology things we didn't have were e-meters and Xenu.

2. What initially appealed to you about scientology?
The people at this dental office were so nice (they love bombed me). They wanted me to be part of their 'very close, very desireable, very ethical' office and group. The dentistry was top notch, so I took the job.I actually enjoyed travelling to the consulting group and I enjoyed the courses.

3. Were there problems in your life that you thought scientology would address?
I thought the courses would help communication and stress reduction. They were a requirement of employment there.

4. Did you see, experience, or hear about things that didn't seem right while you were in the Church of Scientology? What were they, and what convinced you to set aside your feelings?
Many contradictions, many hours of unpaid work. They made me feel like it was my fault when patients cancelled ( my bad vibes reached them). I felt like I was being punished all the time. They pressured me to work till exhaustion.

5. Why did you choose to stay in the Church of Scientology?
I stayed at the office (not 'church') out of loyalty, desire to help people, learning about dentistry and I bought the guilt trip for a long time.

6. Were you staff or public? If staff, was it at a mission or an org? Were you ever in the Sea Org or OSA? Which unit? If not on staff, did you ever volunteer to 'help out'?
Public. Only affiliated through WISE.

7. Why did you leave the Church of Scientology? Was there a "final straw"?
I got sick of being labeled down tone,PTS and treated like a less than significant person and constantly lied to and blamed for things I had no control over.

8. Do you think the Church of Scientology needs to change some of its practices? If so, what should be changed? How did those practices affect your life?
WISE has no business in healthcare. The manipulation, greed, lies and bullying sales tactics are for car salesmen- not dentists, chiropractors or veterinarians.

9. If the items you listed in the previous question were changed, would you consider rejoining or staying in the Church of Scientology? If so, why?
I would not. I don't think the deprogramming would be thorough enough. It needs to stop.

10. Any additional comments you would like to make?
To any health care professional: Do not get involved with any consulting group using L Ron Hubbard Management Technology. It will make you greedy, paranoid, pushy, rude and give you delusions of grandeur.
